Neither a local authority nor a local NHS Trust can apply as the lead on behalf of a partnership. Comic Relief grants can only be paid to ‘not for profit’ organisations such as registered charities & social enterprises/CICs. We are unable to give grants to statutory/public organisations nor to private companies. A statutory/public or private organisation can be part of a partnership bid but the lead body must be a not for profit agency that we could engage with to receive the grant and that would be the accountable body to us for the grant on behalf of the partnership.

You are able to include your own evaluation costs. However, you would need to be mindful of the fact that we will be running our own over-arching evaluation of all the projects developing the 8 ideas and the impact you may make on the cost of the work you are proposing to do.

No. As is normal practice in making applications for a grant, we will not fund the costs of developing, preparing and submitting an EOI and these should not be included in the budget. This is also true for the Full Business Plan if your application is taken to that stage.

It is clear that you plan to involve all the projects in evaluation over their lifetime. At Relate we also have evaluation processes for all our work, especially funded projects. Can we include/should we include costs for our evalution procedures within the budget?

At Leeds Mind, we’re really interested in the ‘Job for me’ idea but don’t have the time or expertise to develop this on our own. What we do have is a really good employment service which works very successfully with people with mental health problems, including many young people. Is there any way we can be partnered up with someone else with complementary skills?
